Sweet Isabella

I am so excited to share sweet Isabella's session from yesterday! Her Mommy and Daddy tried to tell me that she's a little Diva...but I don't believe it...she was the easiest client I've had to date! So happy and easygoing...just a little Doll-Baby! You'll see what I mean...

Because Nothin' Says 'Summer' Like Lemonade...

Labor Day weekend marks the 'unofficial' end to summer...I'm sad to see it go, but I am SO excited for Fall! Er...at least as much 'Fall' as we can get here in So-Cal...which I guess means the temperature will drop to a brisk 85 degrees? But I digress...
To celebrate this unofficial end of summer, I thought I'd share the Lemonade Stand photos I did with my boys! I liked these so much that I'm thinking next summer I'll have to do some Lemonade Stand mini-sessions...stay tuned!
The boy's super-cute lemon printed shorts are from Miss Ainsley Mae...I found their shop on Instagram...cute stuff! And the Lemonade Stand was built from scratch by Yours Truly...with help from my Husband, of course...and just an FYI: Lowe's will cut wood for you free of charge...and they'll cut it free of charge a second time, too, in case you happened to measure wrong the first time...and I'll let you figure out how I know that...

In Summerrrr!

My Husband's family has a house on the beach just north of San Diego. We try to go at least once a year...It's probably one of the best places on planet earth to be! There's just something about a few days at the beach that hits your internal refresh button...I definitely came home Sunday night refreshed and recharged! It was a great trip...and I just had to share a few of our photos!

I can't even tell you how excited I am that they're both looking at the camera and smiling

These two photos were taken exactly one year apart...didn't plan it that way, it just happened. 

But what a difference a year makes!

Puppy Sadie got to come and have a vacation too!

I mean... As you can see from Landon's expression: it was a great trip : )

Princess Laikan is 2!

Y'all all know I'm a sucker for a themed photo shoot...but because I have two boys, I don't often get to indulge in anything girly.  Laikan and her Momma, Nikki, have always helped satisfy my craving for girly themed photos and her 2 year milestone session was no exception!  Animals were the name of the game this year and the Museum of Natural History in LA was the perfect backdrop...especially their Butterfly Pavilion exhibit, which was amazing to see!

Landon's Winnie the Pooh-themed 1st birthday party will go down in the books as one of my all-time favorite parties I've done!

And I think Landon had a pretty good time too...our family made some pretty sweet memories!

Peanut Butter & Honey sandwiches.

Gotta brag on my Husband...because he made these Tigger tails himself! I gave him instructions 

and he went to town...and they came out great!

He made these S'mores Pops too...these were sooooo good!

Found these honey sticks in bulk on Amazon here. And that honey pot is actually a paint 

bucket I found at Michael's...and I added the 'Hunny' with a brown sharpie.

This beehive drink dispenser was a Costco impulse buy...I knew it would be perfect for 

Landon's party and had to have it!

Ball jars...my absolute favorite! And it's a good thing too, because I own about 50 of them now 

because of this party...I told my family they're all getting jam for Christmas this year, haha!

This dresser is actually from Landon's bedroom...and it's heavy. My Husband is a rock star for 

hauling all our furniture to the park...although he told me this would be the last time...we'll see ; )

Of course we started Landon his own birthday tablecloth!

The favors for our guests: a tiny Ball jar filled with honey!

Landon's first year photo project...I was so proud of myself for not missing a month, so of 

course these were on display! Window frame from Target here.
